About Us
Why we built this
Most calculator websites are dated, cluttered, mouse-only, and offer nothing beyond a basic keypad. We wanted something better: a genuinely modern, premium-feeling calculator that runs entirely in the browser — inspired by the layout and function set of the TI-84 Plus CE, but built from scratch as an original web app, not a wrapped emulator.
What makes it different
- A full scientific and graphing engine — trig, logs, fractions, complex numbers, matrices, statistics, distributions, hypothesis tests, an equation solver, and finance calculations.
- Built for the keyboard first, with full screen-reader support, not bolted on afterward.
- A true dark-first interface with a proper light theme, not an inverted afterthought.
- No login, no install, no paywall. History, variables, and saved work persist locally in your browser between visits.
Who it's for
Students who need a calculator on a school Chromebook without installable software, teachers who want a consistent screen to demo from, and engineers who just want a fast, keyboard-driven scientific calculator without digging a physical one out of a drawer.
Independence
TI-84 Calculator is an independent project, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Texas Instruments. "TI-84" and "TI-84 Plus CE" are trademarks of Texas Instruments; we reference them only to describe what this calculator is inspired by and compatible with in spirit.
